Paul A. Seckel is an Alabama native, a graduate of the Birmingham School of Law, and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In 2014 he founded Guntersville Law, LLC with a single mission: to give the people of Guntersville and Marshall County access to skilled, honest legal representation — without the impersonal experience that often comes with larger firms.
Throughout his career, Paul has helped hundreds of North Alabama clients navigate their most difficult legal situations — from families going through painful divorces and custody disputes, to individuals facing serious criminal charges, to accident victims trying to rebuild their lives after devastating injuries. In every case, his approach is the same: listen carefully, advise honestly, and fight hard for the outcome his client deserves.
Paul practices regularly in Marshall County courts and has developed a deep familiarity with local judges, prosecutors, opposing counsel, and court procedures — knowledge that directly benefits his clients in every case he handles. He works closely alongside his colleagues Emily Jolley Seckel and Tim Jolley to ensure clients have access to a full range of legal expertise under one roof.

Paul’s Approach to Every Case
What sets Paul apart isn’t just legal knowledge — it’s the way he treats every client. His approach is built on four principles that guide every case he takes.
Honest Counsel — Even When It’s Difficult
Paul tells his clients the truth about their situation — including when the truth is hard to hear. You’ll never get empty promises or inflated expectations. You’ll get an accurate picture of where you stand and a realistic strategy for moving forward.
Direct Access to Your Attorney
When you hire Paul, you work with Paul — not a paralegal or associate. You’ll have his direct phone number and can reach him when you have questions or concerns. Responsive communication is something Paul takes personally.
Personalized Strategy — Not Boilerplate
No two cases are the same. Paul takes time to understand the unique facts of your situation, your goals, and what matters most to you before recommending any course of action. Your strategy is built for your case — not copied from a template.
Technology-Driven Efficiency
Guntersville Law uses modern legal technology and AI tools to deliver more efficient, cost-effective representation. Better research, faster document preparation, and clearer communication — so your legal matter is resolved as quickly and affordably as possible.
